Primary Forms is a graphic study of some of nature’s beautiful, dramatic and recurring forms. Twists of smoke. Swimming fish. Rotating galaxies. Collapsing stars. Storm winds. Can we capture the essence of these forms in simple maths or do we just strive to see the familiar?
The piece was first shown as a large-scale interactive installation at Day for Night festival. ‘Mark Eats Eyes’ software and two Kinects are used to track large groups of people while a second machine running custom software generates the projected visuals.
